2020 is a jubilee year for our country. We celebrate the 75-th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. That war changed the course of history, the lives of people and the world map. Our people resisted the powerful onslaught of highly organized and well-armed enemy - Nazi Germany and its allies. We survived and won!

But the Victory was paid the highest price - the price of the lives of millions of people. “There is not some family in Russia, who has not remembered their heroes ...". The participants and guests of the competition, representatives of different generations of the descendants of the great winners will bring together on the Baikal ice on March 28, 2020. And each of those present has a deeply personal, intimate relation to the Great Patriotic War, this is a whole layer of family memories. Fathers, grandfathers, mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmother every day made their feat. They went to their death in offensive operations, dug trenches and organized field hospitals, they went into the forest to become partisans, working on the home front. They did all their best to get closer the last day of the war and give future generations the joy of a free and peaceful life filled with meetings with friends and colleagues in a remarkably beautiful places of our fatherland.

The evolvement of nuclear industry also started in the year of the Victory, which gave a powerful impetus to the development of national science and technology, industrial production, ensured the nuclear parity and strengthened the defence capabilities of our country. And in 2020, the nuclear industry celebrates the 75-th anniversary of its establishment. It is important that the current generation of the industry employees not only cherishes intellectual, technological and scientific heritage of their predecessors, but also creatively enriches it, participates in resolution of the most significant national challenges. Our profession requires the deep knowledge, total commitment and exceptional diligence. Therefore, it is selected only by true professionals devoted to their work and interests of the country. Such people are now working at the enterprises of State Corporation Rosatom. The representatives from different Rosatom subsidiaries will take part in traditional competitions on ice-fishing with rod on the lake of Baikal. This is not only a contest of professional skills, but also the place for meeting of colleagues, friends for socializing, strengthening of business and friendly relations.

At the winter start of the event each team is in equal position, and the results of this competition will depend on personal will to win of each participant. And, of course, on luck! Participate and win!
