JSC IUEC transported to the territory of the Russian Federation the uranium oxide concentrate delivered from the Ukraine

On October 11, 2018 JSC IUEC transported to the territory of the Russian Federation the uranium oxide concentrate delivered from the Ukraine within the framework of the agreement for the supply of products singed with the Ukrainian IUEC shareholder – State Concern Nuclear Fuel.

The purpose of the deal with the Ukrainian partner was to ensure the guaranteed supplies of JSC IUEC products for the needs of the Ukrainian NPPs. Further on the received products will undergo the necessary customs clearance procedures and will be transferred for technological reprocessing to the enterprises of JSC TVEL, which perform the reprocessing of the concentrate, its enrichment and fabrication of the fuel assemblies for nuclear power plants in the Ukraine.

On January 31, 2009, the Government of the Russian Federation issued the Resolution on signature of the Agreement on participation of the interested organization from the Ukraine in the activities of JSC IUEC. On November 16, 2009 the Ukraine entered into an Intergovernmental agreement on the participation of its authorized organization (State Concern Nuclear Fuel) in the activities of JSC IUEC. On October 5, 2010, the Concern acquired 10% of shares of JSC IUEC. In 2012 JSC IUEC for the first time carried out a supply chain aimed at meeting the needs of the Ukrainian NPPs. Since that moment such deliveries has been made annually.
