The IUEC participated in the IX-th International Forum ATOMEXPO-2017

On June 19021, 2017 the delegation of the IUEC headed by Mr. Gleb Efremov, the General Director, took part in the work of IX-th International Forum ATOMEXPO-2017.

The forum is an annual event held on the initiative of the State Corporation Rosatom and acknowledged as a major international exhibition and business venue to discuss the current state of affairs in the nuclear industry and shape the trends for its further development. The key theme of the forum this year is Nuclear Technologies: Safety, Environment, Sustainability. The vent traditionally took place as a congress and exhibition. The business program consists of the plenary session «Atom as the basis carbon-free power industry of the future» and 16 round tables with participation of 210 experts. In the framework of the Forum discussions, the leaders of the largest Russian and foreign companies analyzed the challenges that nuclear power faces today, discussed its new, incomparably more firm place and more significant role in the energy mix of the future. By the results of discussions, the participants expressed their confidence that provision of access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy source is one of the key challenges of sustainable development, and atomic energy should play an important role in the carbon-free energy mix.

The business program was complemented by an extensive display of the leading global companies in nuclear energy and associated industries that showcase their high-tech solutions and products. The IUEC presented the information on its activities at the exclusive exhibition booth made in futuristic style with application of various manners of execution and installations. The central element of the booth was a «symbolic barrel» (fuel cask) made with use of highlighted elements that «pierce» its texture targeting to the ceiling. Glowing lines turn into the ceiling installation, which is a "floating in the air” structure. Each line goes to the contours of the mapping images of the countries that participate in the Center. This installation symbolizes the priority fuel delivery to the shareholders of the IUEC. The next reference element of the booth was the original closed negotiation area equipped with a hexagonal panel on the frontal facade with use of translucent material and 3D imprinting of a safe structure. This panel demonstrates, on the one hand, reliability and a full guarantee of the Center services, on the other hand, its transparency and openness.

The movie dedicated to the 10-th years jubilee of the Center, which has seriously changed the prevailed views in the international arena on the principles of ensuring the reliability and safety of along with securing nuclear non-proliferation regime, was demonstrated during the Forum at the booth.

The IX-th Forum was attended by more than 6500 delegates, 653 companies, over 100 companies participated with their exhibition booths, 65 countries took part in its work including Russia.
